M-GATE recruited excellent fellows with a background in neuroscience, biology or exact sciences for the 15 ESR positions. Several fellows have by now completed their research and training projects and have successfully defended their PhD theses; some fellows are still active in the programme.

Fifth M-GATE training
A fifth M-GATE training event was scheduled to take place in Porquerolles (France) from August 29 - September 5, 2020. Due to the COVID19-pandemic this meeting cannot take place in person and work is ongoing to organize an alternative event.
Coordination
The M-GATE project is coordinated by dr. Francesco Battaglia at the Donders Institute, Radboud University, Nijmegen (NL). This is also where the management office is located.
M-GATE - Memory research: Ground-breaking, Applied, and Technological Exchanges is an international PhD programme for highly motivated young scientists, offering 15 early-stage researchers (ESRs) the opportunity to improve their research and entrepreneurial skills and enhance their career prospects.
This Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network is funded by the European Community’s Framework programme Horizon2020. The project officially started October 2017 and was scheduled to run for 4 years. Due to the Covid-pandemic, it was extended with 6 months and will now run until the end of March 2022.
