About M-Gate

The overall objective of M-GATE is to understand how the hippocampus contributes to memory. In order to achieve this, specific aims of experimental, theoretical and technological character have been closely intertwined.

Specific aims of M-GATE

  1. understand the neural code of memory, within each structure of the hippocampal formation
  2. understand the interactions between different structures in the hippocampal formation and cerebral cortex.
  3. elucidate the effects of pathology on memory circuitry
  4. develop and validate new technologies for the investigation of memory circuits.
